This is a free application you can install on your Phone and it will connect to your Shield over Wifi. I found FTP was the fastest way to transfer large files to my Shield Pro. Once the FTP server is running, you can use any FTP client (I use FileZilla) to connect to your Shield over the network. You can install an FTP server on your Shield (I used FTP Server from The Olive Tree). You can also use this method to install an older version of Puffin TV which doesn't block the APK downloads. Shield will accept USB drives formatted as Fat32, NTFS, ExFAT & HFS+. You can download you applications direct on your computer, save them to the USB drive and plug that in to your Shield to install those apps.
